Several showbiz and media personalities have come out to condemn political science lecturer Dr.Richard Amoako Baah for his comments about our very own media personality Mr. Kwame Dzokoto’s, conduct when he eventually makes it to parliament.
The former head of Political Science Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in a recent interview warned Mr. Dzokoto not to joke when he eventually makes it into Parliament, after he won the nod to represent the Tarkwa Nsuem Constituency on the ticket of the NDC.
Showbiz critique and media personalities Arnold Asamoah Baidoo criticised Dr. Amoako Baah and called his comments unfortunate and an indictment on the entertainment industry.
Arnold Baidoo cited many comedians and showbiz personalities including Richard Prior, Arnold Swartznegger and South Africa, who have had successful political careers and called on Dr.Amoako Baah to apologise to not only Mr. Dzokoto, but also to the entire entertainment industry.
Aside Arnold Baidoo, several other media and showbiz personalities have joined into slum Dr. Baah for his comments.
Many of them believe that the Dr’s demanding comments is only a representation of the lack of respect that other professionals accord the entertainment industry.
Highlife legend, Rex Omar expressed his anger over the lecturer’s comments and urged Ghanaians to stop trying so hard to stigmatise people in the creative industry.
Sally Man also chastised the lecturer and said he does not know enough about the creative industry to attempt to asses Mr. Dzokoto.
Lastly is our very own Nana Otu Gyandour, who says people are now realising that the relevance of creative people and accepting them into their day to day lives.
